This 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG is finished in black over Anthracite leather upholstery and is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-retractable hardtop, 18″ Turbine-style AMG wheels, heated and ventilated seats, a Bose sound system, and COMAND with navigation. The car was purchased by the current owner in 2024 and fitted with replacement tires in 2025. This R230 now has 86k miles and is offered in Florida on dealer consignment at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature and a clean Maryland title.
The car is finished in Black (040) and features a power-folding convertible hardtop. Additional equipment includes fog lights, fender air vents, an aftermarket front grille, and AMG bodywork including a revised front spoiler, side skirts, and quad exhaust outlets. An August 2024 entry on the Carfax report lists damage to the front and left front of the car. Per the selling dealer, work completed in preparation for the sale involved replacing the convertible top flap and three convertible top hydraulic cylinders in addition to performing an exterior paint correction service before applying a ceramic coating. This is a relist after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in Janurary 2025 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner’s participation on BaT has been restricted and their buyer’s fee was not refunded.
The 18″ Turbine-style AMG wheels were fitted with replacement center caps and mounted with 255/40 front and 285/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires in 2025. The car features Active Body Control suspension as well as an Electronic Stability Program, Automatic Slip Control, and an AMG High Performance Braking System with cross-drilled rotors. The Active Body Control pump was replaced in preparation for the sale.
The heated and ventilated power-adjustable seats are upholstered in Anthracite leather, and features include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a wind deflector, a Bose sound system, and COMAND with navigation.
The leather-trimmed steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 86k miles.
The supercharged 5.4-liter M113 V8 was factory-rated at 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Two engine mounts and the power distribution module were replaced, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. A replacement transmission mount was installed in preparation for the sale.
The Carfax report lists the aforementioned August 2024 damage.
